That's the issue, Jordan. You don't know what he does. A Community Manager needs to be active in the community they manage. If they aren't active, they aren't managing. You wouldn't expect to get a job somewhere, never show up, and not get fired. If you do not actively do the task/duty that is asked of you, why do you want to hold the responsibility for it? The idea of a Community Manager takes away from the power of the admins, puts far too much power into the hands of one individual in terms of community decisions, and tends to harm the idea of a "fair" community. The "people" can't have a say when one person has the final rule.
If you actually KNEW what Gnome did, this would be a different story, but the fact that you can't even tell what a Community Manager does should say a lot. How can you actually defend a title that you don't understand? Coming from someone who actually runs a server, a "manager" for the whole community is a TERRIBLE idea that, to be quite honest, you just do not seem to comprehend.
