[font=myriad pro]Way overdue! Guests and new members will be greeted with a simple message detailing who we are, what we do, our rules, our goals, the registration agreement, and frequently-asked-questions. As with other improvements, we should have this integrated into the website as a page in the following weeks or months. Feel free to give us some suggestions how to revise ths message to guests.

MoonShade Gaming is a community striving toward expanding game servers to offer a variety to its player base and have a fun and interactive environment that anyone will enjoy. We wish to create a culture of collaboration and build great things together. If you think this brief description fits in with you well, please feel free to register.
Where to begin?
Register on our forums to become a member and gain full access to viewing threads, announcements, and various other community activities. Membership is required for being able to post and reply to other members.
Policy on Behavior
Simply stated, we like to stay civil. Have it in your best interest to read our rules before using our website or playing on our servers. If you demonstrate proper common sense, you should be fine and have no problems. We appreciate your devotion to your idea or positive improvements upon the community, but you must remember only certain ideas can actually work out in the long run. Please do not act barbarically or aggressively emphatic as a member (i.e when making a suggestion). Entitlement is earned in conjunction with respect and can be easily lost by lying, acting in disrespect to someone or something, etc. Please remember that "until you treat everyone as an equal, you have no right to complain about the treatment you receive from anyone.".
Registration Agreement
By registering, you hereby obey to strictly follow our conduct on the registeration agreement. We take the agreement very seriously. If you do not wish to respect it, please do not register. Please note some fundamental bits of the agreement:
"Member Conduct: MoonShade does not condone actions such as but not limited to tantrums, acts of rage, fits of violence, anger that stems from immaturity and etc. If a member of MoonShade is doing such then please report them with a detailed outline of what occurred."
"Racism and Prejudice: Racism or prejudice of any kind is not allowed by members of MoonShade
What is racist? Believing one's race is superior to another.
What is not racist? Tasteful comedy, Memes, Avatars, Names. Unless otherwise proven to be racist by an Administrator."
"Permissions, Access, Privileges: Access to other channels and permissions gained in the result of channel groups assigned by MoonShade Admins means that users can do anything that the particular group gives them access to do. Any access a particular group is not supposed to have must be removed by an Administrator so that the group does not abuse."
If you are banned, you may or may not have a right to appeal your ban based on your behavior. We cannot stress this enough.

[font=myriad pro]A Slice of Quality of Life[/font]
[font=myriad pro]This month and following year will be all about making improvements to make stuff easier for everyone. If you haven't been living under a rock, you will notice by the end of the year that you will have a significant and easier overall time playing and enjoying our servers. That's our main short-term goal this year.[/font]
[font=myriad pro]Message of the Week[/font]
[font=myriad pro]When you see the message of the day as you enter the server (that is IF you see it at all!), then you should notice the new feature we've added onto the message of the day. Instead of having a bunch of junk or spam on the page, we've removed the "comments" system that was added years ago. We moved the servers list to the right where comments used to be, and put in a new message of the week system in place. This is what the message of the days were created for, to relay information to players!
And that's exactly what we've been doing. It updates once every two or so weeks, with fundamental messages we can deliver to players that only involve that server, so website users won't be spammed with individual minuscule server messages! This is only one piece of the entire "quality of life" puzzle that's been assembled. Check it out here!

[font=myriad pro]The biggest change you will most likely notice so far this year is the new forum post editor for our website. What you see is what you get and if you don't like it, hit the first icon on the top left of the editor. It's a white page with little lines on it. This will switch you back to the retro-style of editing your posts.
From an interface design standpoint, this new editor is simply fantastic. The smileys have been condensed into one icon, saving space. All icons are reworked and there are far more colors to select this time around. Changes to the editor will be intuitively simple compared to the previous one. Old bbcode tags like spoilers still exist, but are hidden for now. We'll provide an in-depth look & list on the bbcodes available sometime this year as a quality of life improvement.
Many imporvements will come to this editor in the future, so don't be scared! We will be extending its use to allow support for additional bbcodes, better text sizing, and several other yet-to-be-named additions. Still missing the old editor? No worries! We're going to be reworking in a feature to allow our supporters to have the old editor be in the place of this new one. All another reason for old members to help support us!

[font=myriad pro]Another big event that everyone who's been playing knows about! Sometime this or next week, you will notice something bizarre as soon as you join. It will affect gameplay either significantly or not at all, but the scoreboards will be a mess until its over! Expect it to last for about a month or so. [/font]
