If it's such an immense exploit I'll easily patch it up by assigning pre-defined reward values in the entity when it is spawned. For example: Eat a cookie, it spawns with a value of $10 as a reward for cleaning it up; while $100 for something like an alcohol bottle.
That sounds like a good idea, more rewarding for those who use more expensive food such as steak and cockpops.
Might not be necessary though. I know alot of people eat the upper tier food over the lower tier like cookies. If anything it might allow people to make more money.
Maybe the garbage dropped should be randomized then you should add the random price to it?
