So, here. I've watched anime before, who hasn't? Conformity is something you pay with personal freedoms. As I've joined the MSG community, I, for the first time felt free to express what I've been keeping down because of the social norm.
"CoalWorker, why are you such a weeb now?" "Are you a weeb?"
Looking at people who watch a show and treating them differently. Just because they are different.
True the stereotypes have destroyed the public's view of people who watch anime, but that goes for any stereotypes.

Also just for context, I nor was anyone else butthurt when it came to making this post.
I felt obligated to have a solid answer for people's questions.

I personally haven't watched anime (other than dragon ball z og version but only like 3-4 episodes, its hardly an anime in my opinion) but I understand what you mean you found something that you connect with and I'm happy for you.
