An idea for locks

How about this we replace locks with one singular lock on the door.

Players can still break the locks with say a sledge hammer with a cool down around 600 seconds.

Players can pay a engineer to fix the lock on the door

Benefits of this

Adds more to player interaction.
-Makes doors more realistic (causes who has 1000 locks in real life)
-Adds a new job.
-Players are happy with safety at there house again.

Ideas for this came from steazy me and coalworker and kinda mewn.

Yes, I like this. The homes that have multiple doors will be tough, because the cool-down is longer, but houses can be priced according to the amount of doors it has as well. I think 1200 seconds is drastic, maybe 600 seconds though.
Problem with engineer job is how they would get paid. The player receiving the door fix would have to manually pay the engineer any amount of price they want. I'm not sure if Myback can link a owned door to the owners bank account for the engineer to receive payment, but if he can thatd be awesome. But this would also give a trust sytem. If youre a engineer and you fix a door but the guy doesn't pay you, you don't fix his door the next time.

It was just a suggestion, 1200 seconds may actually be better, only time can tell.

Maybe be able to upgrade your door lock or upgrade your sledgehammer similar to the levels of door hack and what not.

That, I like that. Like IRL, people may have just a simple door lock. But some people have those advanced electronic door locks or tougher locked doors. And I mean if someone's breaking into a house, why would they needs just a sledgehammer? Upgrade!

why would you add better sledgehammers, (using money to break into a house) or like engineer speeds or whatever if locks you just use the money also to break into houses. BRING BACK LOCKS! locks wouldn't be so messed up if one guy couldn't have 28 million dollars and break into whatever little kids house he wants

Yes but I never actually do that. I never had intent to break into people's houses and I still don't, I've only ever had one target and that was Morty because he loved to abuse any glitch/exploit or loophole he can find and that's one of my pet peeves. I could be like your brother and just ruin everybody's time right now and say it's just because I have a krims, but I don't. If I wasted time and money breaking into houses and creating enemies, I would have never gotten all that money... and because I have all that money, I don't have any reason to be breaking into people's homes.

Jeez, lets just set my bank to 10k so that people can stop crying about me being rich, even though I invested so much time to it, and then add the damn lock vendor back. Clearly me being so rich is the problem here so shit, if it means the server can get locks back then take away my money.

(should raise the lockbreaker price to 2k each tho, that's something I always thought should have been)

I like this but imagine how this could be abused like he has a friend that breaks the lock then he fixs it then breaks and fixes so good idea but could be heavily abused.

That's why theres a long cool down

And josef there is no real fix to that even if you reseted the eco someone would eventually get rich again

Yeah, eventually, but the people who want to be rich can't complain anymore because they started out with all of the other players, and just don't have a huge amount of damn hours so they are rich because they played way back and all they did was grind. Kind of off-topic this discussion but it pertains to the main title so its ok I guess lol
