So back in my old community there were these things called warning points. If you got warning points you would get restricted from a few things and getting a daily post limit. Andi if you hit 10 you get banned from the forums for the month. Warning points only last a month and could be displayed on a user's profile and the reason why. If you shitpost on a important topic like appeals you would get more warning points. And warning points can only be given by admins. And if a user feels these points were given unfairly they can dispute the warning point and if they lose they get 1 more. And then getting restricted for appealing. These privileges in the old community was given to only by roots but its your choice on who you want to give the privilege to.
