Tis' true, that excuse would most likely be used a ton, or a player could falsely report someone.
A reason that the rule was taken away was because there were reports that cops would shoot and kill civilians when they didn't see that person kill a cop, as the rule was that you have to physically see a t-side player killing or shooting a cop before they can shoot to kill. Some cops would kill you and simply claim that they saw you shoot/kill another cop, when they didn't, which was a major flaw.
But after this rule was taken away, the amount of rdm against cops has gone up exponentially so maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to try and bring this back. Cop's used to be feared and respected a lot more but as of late, not really.
