The title basically says it all, it could happen once a month or something, !buyticket (number of tickets) etc.

Adding to the suggestion: All the money from people buying tickets is put into the pot, the more tickets you have, the more chance you have of winning.

Think, the richest players will buy the most tickets as opposed to the poorer players. I've always wanted to do a lottery system but have always been contracted by this issue.

How about the more tickets you buy, the higher the price is.

OR have a set prize pool and you can only buy 1 ticket but makes the odds even for all players so every1 has an even chance.

when the map first came out, people were doing web-based Lottery kind of things, gambling games, like flipping a coin through a website, people made money while the guy holding lost money xD

i may do that if i decide to actually not be lazy.

I was thinking of back in the day where I played a game, and the tickets costed a dollar. I see how this wouldn't really work now that I think about it

If all the rich players bought like 100 of them and all the poor people only can buy one ticket all the rich will win everytime. If lottery was ever to be added I think it should be 1,000 and only able to buy 5 tickets.

Just place a limit on max tickets bought to a low number that can be fairly won or lost.

My take on this idea would be just for people to choose from a set amount of prices in a menu and enter them in the lottery than a ticket system and after a certain amount of time, the lottery would draw a player and announce it on the server,
