Personally I vote no, now let me explain my vote.
Yes this is true, Sheckles is a very active member of our forums. Out of all the people, I believe I'm the most active on the forums and when I look down there at the "Who's Online" section, I mostly see Sheckles out of all the people who are registered on our forums.
Now since he is on pretty much everyday this doesn't make him a good forum moderator.
My first issue is that Sheckles, since he's very active, he posts a lot, I mean a lot, most of the posts do break the rules of the forums and I do not appreciate that since if he's the most active, he should of known better than that. Out of all the posts I've ever deleted on this forum, I believe I've deleted more Sheckle posts, more than the whole communities posts all put together, this isn't an over exaggeration, I just know this since I moderate the forums.
Now as you said "May require a little training" - I think he's going to require a lot of training.
With the example you presented above, you're probably referencing the post that he made yesterday about reporting another member of the forums for duplicate topics. You see, I've went ahead and deleted the duplicate topic and went on the original one and even told Sheckles, "no need to report, accidents happen bla bla..."
So I really don't know if he was serious or joking around about that report.
Now back to the training situation, if Sheckles were to get Forum Mod, I would be happy to train him personally as I, out of all people, know all the rules, how forums work, what to do in certain circumstances and how to appropriately give out consequences to people who break the rules.
