Haven't posted on this forum for a while. :-\ anyway, was just reading a bit here and there. I was really kind of sad that Queso resigned and that iMeinhGuy is resigning too. I feel like the server is on a downhill slope and has been for quite awhile. I don't know whether this is because of abusive admins, abusive cops, idiots or what but I really like this server and want it to survive. I don't really know how to achieve this goal, but I have a few suggestions. First of all everyone complains about abusive admins. I know I'm just a lonely scrub, but I'm going to create a list of the admins/developers that I trust, maybe some will find this intersesting, idk but here goes.
The "Higher Ups" that Inspector Javert trusts:
First of all Mewn. Obviouslym he is the server owner. Mewn doesn't play much, but when he does he is always very friendly. Whenever he joins the server he is constantly bombarded with questions, but he never complains he just deals with it. Mewn is a great guy.
Secondly, myback. Myback and I used to argue a lot. Like a lot lot. But even throughout all that, I still find him to be one of the most trustworthy guys on the server. Myback is on the server quite a bit, even if he's afk. But he is also very willing to help people and a very smart developer. Like literally without myback the server wouldn't survive for a day.
Thirdly, King of KFC, Jamal. To be honest, I don't know Jamal hardly at all. But what I do know is that he is head admin, and people always get really excited when he gets on. Like I said, I don't know him to well, but he always seems very friendly, and I know he's been part of the server far longer than I have.
Fourthly (lol is that a word) is SirRazor, or Yama. SirRazor was one of my very first friends when I first joined back on MittleFans. But I shouldn't base this off of friendship. Razor is a very competent admin, and a very friendly person. I honestly can't think of one person I know who says they dislike him.
Fifthly, and sixthly (lol idk if those are words either) these two are together because they are very short. Gnome, and Chris. These two admins have been on the server for as long as I can remember. Like Jamal, I don't know them very well, but I have never argued nor heard them argue with anyone. They always seem very helpful, and good admins.
As for the rest, I don't know. Maybe some are good admins, maybe some aren't. If you aren't on this list, it doesn't mean I don't like you, it just means I don't know you, and don't know what the server thinks about you. Others can feel free to add to this list of admins they trust, but this should be said: just because one or two people think an admin is abusive doesn't mean the whole server agrees. What I suggest is that the "trustables" set up a review board and review all questionable admins, or admins that have been reported by multiple people.
Concerning Cops:
There are two issues that I have noticed concerning cops. First of all is abusiveness. To be honest, I don't know if this is really an issue or not. I get the feeling that a lot of times its just people complaining about being jailed or killed that don't understand the system. But maybe I'm wrong. Idk. Anyway, if it is an issue, I don't honestly know what to do about it.
Secondly, is the rank system. I have a simple solution to this. All ranks, except the starting rank, recruit, require an admin to place you there. The only requirement there should be is that of hours. Someone could work out a system where if you have so many hours, an admin can choose to promote or not promote you.
ummmmmm that's all I really have to say right now. Sorry for being so long winded, but I hope a lot of people take the time to read this.
