On this day in 1941 at 07:48, The Empire of Japan Attacked the American nation without provocation(kinda) with a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor. While the Sailors slept in on that sunday morning little did they know that for some it would be their last. Under the Orders of Admiral Yamamoto the Japanese fleet launched 2 waves of attacks that cost 2335 American lives with another 1143 injured.
Fortunately the might of the american fleet and the main Japanese target, all aircraft carriers were at sea on training exercises and the retaliation they brought Permanently crippled the Japanese fleet
On this day(in America) we remember the lives lost as America entered the Second World War. (and kicked some major ass)
